How accurate were Trendincite LLC’s 2024 Trend Predictions?
- Five Trends Consumers Will Expect in 2024 Kids Will Be Kids, Refillable & Reusable Revolution, We All Scream For Ice Cream, Hold This, and Robots Lend A Helping Hand
- Flavor Forecast, Pizza, street food and beyond flavors make their way into snacks
- Pickle-flavored foods have been hot for a while, and don’t expect that to change in 2024
- Vegetable-forward, less processed plant-based products
- Consumers are much more budget conscious, and higher prices impact their behavior. Generic brands have upgraded. Store brands and private label brands are competitive, including products, flavor profiles, and quality
What themes did we see for 2024 trends?
- Grilled cheese, Mac and cheese, and Instant noodles were the comfort food of choice and coffee won’t quit
- Condiment innovation was on fire, BBQ, Ranch, and Spicy directions held steady
- Gaming and savory snacks went hand and hand, while consumers made room for better-for-you snacks
- The frozen aisle heated up with ice, frozen food, and ice cream launches while yogurt was solid in the refrigerated section
- From mood-enhancing goods to hybrid beverages, consumers sought functional products
- Collagen-infused beverages piqued consumers’ interest in ingredients to stay youthful
- Consumers were stuck on honey as an ingredient in both flavored and fragranced products
- Scalp care guided hair care developments, while celebrities leaned into hair care
- From condiments to fast food, limited-edition savory scents had a moment
- Gourmand scents both sweet and savory, sustainable products, and interactive marketing led the way in candle and air care launches while household cleaning got an upgrade
- Convenience drove delivery partnerships as consumers’ insatiable appetite for on-demand delivery increased, while prices dictated consumers’ interest in private label and store brands
- The future looked to space, robots, and functional foods that support women’s fluctuating hormones
