Amy Marks-McGee is an award-winning creative marketing professional with over twenty-five years of success within the fragrance and flavor industry. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing Management from Baruch College in New York City.
Her work experience includes fine fragrance, air care, and personal care marketing for International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), Noville, and Givaudan. She has been recognized by Women in Flavor & Fragrance Commerce for the 2011 Woman of the Year Award for her excellence in marketing and leadership and she received an American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) silver award for Givaudan’s ScentCast™ program, an annual interactive trends forecasting tool.
In 2006, Amy founded Trendincite LLC to help clients:
- Recognize trends early to be proactive instead of reactive to the changing consumer
- Anticipate consumer needs to develop better products
- Heighten awareness to better understand outside influences
- Capture inspiration from unexpected places
- Develop unique products, which in turn lead to growth and profitability
- Enjoy the creative process
Amy is the immediate past-president of Women in Flavor & Fragrance Commerce and an active member of Cosmetic Executive Women. In 2006, she founded Trendincite Xchange, a Trends Networking Group to discuss emerging trends in a myriad of industries.
A writer and public speaker, she writes the Forward Thinking column in Perfumer & Flavorist magazine and the North American Market: Trends-In-Sight column in Eurocosmetics magazine. In addition, she contributes articles to industry specific trade publications. Speaking engagements include HBA 2009-2014, Sniffapalooza 2013-2018, The Fragrance Foundation, Women in Flavor & Fragrance Commerce, Chemical Sources Association, Society of Cosmetic Chemists, Society of Flavor Chemists, National Association of Flavors & Food Ingredient Systems, NY/NJ American Association of Candy Technologists, Direction by Indigo, COLabORate: Color & Design Collaboration, and Fashion News Workshop.
