It’s not officially spring yet, but brands are launching a bevy of fruit-flavored food and beverages. Like strawberry, peach and banana flavors are trending and inspiring fragrances.
PEACY KEEN
Inspired by Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz, Pantone’s 2024 Color of the Year, dsm-firmenich, named Peach+ the 2024 “Flavor of the Year.” Peach is a popular tea flavor and continues to trend. According to Innova Market Insights, in 2023, peach tea flavors accounted for 11.7% of total launches. Peach has seen a 7.07% CAGR growth since 2020, and is expected to grow and penetrate other beverage categories. Peach is an on-trend flavor appearing in RTD beverages and alcohol.
Snapple added Peach Tea & Lemonade to its portfolio. 7Up Tropical, a blend of lemon-lime with tropical hints of mango and peach, is now a permanent addition to the 7Up portfolio, available in regular and zero-sugar variants. Peach Raspberry Dazzl’r is the latest flavor to join the BUBBL’R sparkling water lineup. Sanpellegrino debuted Ciao! flavored sparkling waters in four flavors and Peach is one of them. Red Bull launched its limited-edition flavor Summer Edition White Peach energy drink. Vitapod and Paris Hilton co-branded a functional pods line in three varieties: Beauty+ (Radiant Rose & Pomegranate Paradise) with skincare support, Energy+ (Pink Lemonade & Cherry Lime) with 200 mg of caffeine, and Hydration+ (Tropical Cloudberry & Peachy Lux) made with antioxidants. Kylie Jenner’s Sprinter vodka soda brand unveiled its first-ever single-flavor 4 pack in Peach. Boba POPS is a new patented alcohol popping boba drink. The flavored pearls are available in Blueberry, Raspberry, Strawberry, Peach, and Lychee with a 12.5% ABV. In the UK, Diageo launched Smirnoff Miami Peach, “inspired by the vibrant atmosphere of Miami Beach.” Also, in the UK, Fanta Tutti Frutti Zero Sugar is a limited-edition flavor made with a blend of peach, pineapple, and banana flavors. Pepsi released Pepsi Zero Peach, a new limited-edition beverage exclusive to Japan “created to celebrate the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo.”
Peach is a timeless flavor commonly used in tea. It’s making its way into other beverages, including soda, water, and alcohol. Look out for new peach flavor combinations and other food and beverage applications.
THAT’S BANANAS
According to Tastewise, social conversations about Banana have increased by 13.55% over the past year. Banana flavors emerge in a variety of applications, including dairy, sports and performance products, beverages, and ice cream. In conjunction with Disney, TruMoo launched limited-edition Moana Strawberry Banana Lowfat Milk. Odwalla introduced a new line of three signature smoothies: Berries, Mango, and Strawberry-Banana.UK Emmi’s Onken brand has added KiddOs yogurt in two flavors: Banana & Raspberry and Blueberry, Blackberry & Banana. RECOVER 180 added a Strawberry Banana flavor to its hydration line. In collaboration with Chiquita, AN Performance unveiled a line of nutritional supplements. Inspired by Chiquita’s iconic bananas and pineapple, the range includes the Pineapple-Strawberry Non-Stimulant Workout Powder, Pre-Workout Powder, and Hydration Powder alongside the Banana-Chocolate Whey Protein and the Banana-Peanut Butter Whey Protein. Barebells launched a new range of Chewy Bars in Sweden in three flavors: Banana Choco, Fizzy Cola, and Peachy Peach. Shonen Soda, the Japanese-inspired cream soda brand, offers three flavors Banana Cream, Orange Cream, and Berry Lemon Cream and is expanding its U.S. presence. UK-based Continental Wine & Food launched Lacey’s Vodkashake, a plant-based cream liqueur. Banana was one of two flavors introduced. Nothing Bundt Cakes kicked off the year with the Whole Lotta Love Collection, and the Banana Pudding Cake Pop-Up Bundtlet features a banana cake baked with real banana puree and Mini NILLA® Wafers filled and drizzled with vanilla pudding. Old Stone Creamery introduced JELL-O Banana Cream Pudding Ice Cream with Nilla wafers, banana, and whipped topping. Blue Bell released a Banana Fudge ice cream, which features Blue Bell’s milk chocolate ice cream swirled with banana-flavored ice cream. Drumstick introduced Banana Split Cones in Banana, Banana Fudge, and Strawberry Fudge varieties. Inspired by classic desserts, Publix debuted eight limited-edition ice cream flavors and Bananas Foster is one of the varieties.

FRUIT-FORWARD PEACH & BANANA FRAGRANCES
Peach and banana are gaining momentum as fragrance accords in scented products. Billie Eilish’s fourth fragrance, Your Turn, is “a warm, woody, and fresh scent that blends bright ginger, velvety peach skin, and smooth sandalwood.” Zesty Peach by Bath & Body Works features peach nectar, sugar crystals, and musk notes. Touchland Peachy Lychee Power Essence Body & Hair Fragrance Mist is one of the brand’s eight new scents. Pura’s Home Fragrance March Fragrance of the Month is Cucumber & Peach. 27 87, the Barcelona-based fragrance brand’s latest scent is Hakuna Matata, which contains notes of banana, honey, and jasmine with musk and amber. The scent story is “akin to banana pudding or banana candy.” Odyssey, the Thai fragrance house, unveiled Bananilla fragrance, which “captures the irresistible essence of Banoffee, blending the delightful sweetness of banana and chocolate with the warmth of caramel and the airy lightness of whipped cream.” Banabread by Elena Lanzano Essences highlights banana notes with cinnamon, hazelnut, chocolate, brown sugar, and vanilla. Pura introduced Banana Birch home fragrance, which blends orchard fruits with creamy banana and rich woods.
